Australian model Miranda Kerr has been announced as the face of telephone and online service Kids Helpline Australia in a bid to raise community awareness about the issues faced by young people.

The 29 year old wife of Orlando Bloom, who lost a younger cousin to suicide a few years ago, said 'I want every child in Australia to know that there is someone who will listen to them, someone who can talk to them, no matter how big or small the issue'.
